HOW IT WORKS
The sun heats the solar collectors as your pool pump circulates water through the collectors. As the pool water moves through the collectors, the water absorbs this heat, and the warmed water is returned back to the swimming pool.

A solar pool heating system can achieve the same results as a gas or propane heater, but without dangerous gas lines or huge fuel bills. Fuel heaters not only cost more to purchase than a solar pool heating system, they also cost a lot more to install and operate. DIFFERENT FROM A SOLAR BLANKET
A solar pool heating system is very different from a solar blanket because a solar blanket does not actively heat swimming pool water. A solar blanket helps your pool retain the heat generated from the sun hitting your pool water, and a solar pool heater actually adds heat to your entire pool. A solar pool blanket will only help to warm the top few inches of water in your pool. A solar pool heater is constantly circulating and warming the water from your entire pool! A solar heater will produce even better resukts when used in conjunction with a solar blanket.

WHAT ELSE IS NEEDED TO INSTALL A SOLAR HEATING SYSTEM?
You will need flexible hose or PVC pipe for plumbing from the pool to the Solar Heating System and plumbing from the System back to the swimming pool. The length of the plumbing depends on the distance between the Solar Heating System and the pool.
